About this tool
Many “free” QR generators route your code through their own short link so they can track scans — and later disable it unless you pay. Codes generated here encode your content directly, so they work forever and nobody sits in the middle.
Choosing error correction
QR codes contain redundancy that lets them scan even when partly damaged or covered. Low (7%) gives the smallest, simplest pattern; High (30%) survives scratches or a logo placed in the centre. For print, choose Medium or higher and test with several phones.
Keep strong contrast — dark foreground on light background. Inverted or low-contrast codes fail on many scanners.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
Never — the data is encoded directly with no redirect.
Can I track scans?
Not with a static code. Add UTM parameters with our UTM builder and measure in your analytics.
How much text fits?
Up to ~2,900 characters at Low error correction, fewer at higher levels.
